Trades and draft choices through Dec. 31

First, the Nashua NoNames and the Carolina Crush have completed a trade. Nashua trades SP Tim Lincecum and pick 19-141 to Carolina for SP Madison Bumgarner and pick 13-6.
The first seven picks of the draft are:
- The Cambridge Longfellows kicked off the rookie round selecting OF Jason Heyward with the pick obtained in trade from the Rosehaven RiverDogs.
- The Mission Viejo Monarchs followed with the selection of SP Trevor Cahill.
- The Duluth Dukes selected OF Mike Stanton.
- The Kissimmee Cardinals selected OF Austin Jackson.
- Cambridge, back on the clock with its own selection in the rookie round, selected OF Jose Bautista.
- Nashua uses the pick acquired in the aforementioned trade to select SS Starlin Castro.
- The Scottsdale Cougars select OF Matt Holliday.
The Binghamton Senators are on the clock with the eighth pick, and the New Orleans Pelicans are on deck.The BGM pick is due by 4 p.m. EST New Year’s Day.
