Game 1 Rosehaven at Dresden
Cone vs Rosado

Piazza blasts a 2RHR in the first, but the Blacks get them back quickly on hits by O'Neill and Spiers, the latter after Piazza dropped a third strike which would have ended the inning. But Mike made up for it again, slamming a 5th inning homer which turned out to be the game winner. Blacks managed only 5 hits, committed 2 errors, and struck out 13 times in losing the opening game of a series for the fifth striaght time.

Game 4 Dresden at Rosehaven
Stottlemyre vs Valdes

Edmonds and Piazza combined on a run in the 1st, and for a long while it looked as if it would hold up. Blacks got close to scoring in the 5th (2 on, 1 out), the 6th (2nd & 3rd, 1 out), and 7th (1st & 3rd, none out), but it remained 1-0. River Dogs were basically in the clubhouse, threatening little, although O'Neill did erase Morandini at the plate on Glanville's double in the 5th.

Geoff Zaun, in on a double switch, opened the Dresden 8th with a single, and was sacrificed to second by Lofton. Biggio was hit by a pitch, and O'Neill singled to right, Zaun holding third. McGwire, 1-12 on the series, managed a sac fly, tying the game at 1. River Dogs loaded 'em in the 8th, but Wagner got Piazza to strike out and Polcovich to ground out.

Mesa came on for Rosehaven in the 9th, and walked Nomar. A bunt and an infield out moved him to third, where he scored on Zaun's clutch single. River Dogs off Hernandez in the 9th started with a single and an infield out moving the tying run to second.  Hernandez was hurt on the play, and DiPoto had to come on. He struck out Sosa, and got Sanders to ground to second. But Biggio booted it, and all hands were safe. However, the River Dogs wasted the second chance when Morandini grounded to McGwire to end the game.

Game 5 at Rosehaven
Rosado vs Cone

Rematch of game 1, which Rosehaven won 4-3, but the River Dogs are now looking at elimination. Cone struck out Lofton and Biggio to start the game, but then O'Neill and McGwire singled, and Stairs hit a three run homer. Rosehaven managed one back in the first on a walk and a two out RBI single from Mike Piazza, but it would be a long time before they solved Jose Rosado. Rosado allowed just three lonely singles until there were 2 out in the 9th, and contributed an RBI single himself, which followed another RBI single by Charles Johnson in the 4th. Overall, the Blacks only managed 6 hits and struck out 13 times, but the Blacks had grouped the hits well taking a 5-1 lead into the ninth. With two outs in the 9th, Piazza singled and Sosa homered, but reliever Kevin Millwood got Rolen to fly to Series MVP Paul O'Neill to give the Blacks their second straight title. Blacks  won 6 straight world series games over two years at Rosehaven's home park.
